ENERGY EFFICIENCY AND DECENTRALIZATION OF WATER SUPPLY ARE IMPORTANT GOALS OF OUR INTERACTION WITH ITALIAN PARTNERS, — EMPHASIZED BY THE HEAD OF THE ODESSA WATER REGION, OLEKSANDR HRYNCHAK

Today, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Odessa District Military Administration, the Italian Foundation “HOPE UKRAINE” and the public association “Ukrainian Water A

ssociation”.

During the signing of the memorandum, the head of the Odessa District Military Administration, Oleksandr Grinchak, emphasized that energy efficiency, infrastructure modernization and decentralization of water supply are key areas of cooperation with international partners, especially in the context of military challenges and the need to increase the resilience of communities.

Within the framework of the signed document, the parties agreed on the joint implementation of a number of important infrastructure projects in the Odessa District, in particular:
• Decentralization of water supply – installation of purified drinking water distribution points based on modular reverse osmosis systems;
• Technical re-equipment of boiler houses in the city of Odesa using reverse osmosis technologies for water preparation;
• Modernization of boiler houses in the Odessa District by introducing heat pumps to increase energy efficiency and reduce energy consumption.

The implementation of these initiatives will contribute to improving the quality of drinking water, reducing energy costs, environmental safety and sustainable development of territorial communities of the Odessa region.

Communities of the Odessa district are involved in cooperation and implementation of projects, in particular:
Avangardivska settlement council, Chornomorska city council, Fontanska village council, Pivdennska city territorial community, Chornomorska settlement territorial community, Velikodolynska settlement council, Yaskivska village council, Krasnosilska community, Teplodar city, Bilyaivska city council, Usativska village council, Nerubayska village territorial community, Ovidiopolska village council, Mayakivska village council, Velikodalnytska AH, Dobroslavska and Vygodyanska village councils, Tairivska village council.

The Ukrainian Water Association will continue to act as an expert and coordination platform for the implementation of modern water and energy-efficient solutions in cooperation with international partners.
